Love
Love is something beautiful
We all try to understand
And we learn with each day we live
It's not subject to our command
Love is a perfect thing
We imperfect creatures try to control
We know it's good
For we feel it in our soul
If only we could but glimpse
The true purity and power of love
Understand a little better
And it's genesis from above
Perhaps we'd be more easily persuaded
To truly humble our hearts
To readily dispense compassion
Forgive completely-not in grudging parts
Perhaps love our enemies
Truthfully and honestly consider their view
And judge not unfairly
As we desire fair judgment too
So come on brothers and sisters
Friends and neighbors take my hand
Together let us search the depths of love
Until we all understand !
