I can't make you love me
And I don't want to try it anymore
If I can't make you love me
I guess I will have to let you go
If I can't make you see that
You're the only one on my mind
We're not really meant to be
I guess I'll never have you by my side

I can't make you love me
It doesn't matter what I do
If I can't make you love me
I guess I'll never be with you
If I can't make you care
There's no point in doing this
We're not going to be together
I guess I'll never be the one you kiss

I can't make you love me
There's nothing else for me to say
If I can't make you love me
I guess I'll never make you stay
If I can't make you need me
You're never gonna hold my hand
We're not going to be as one
I only wish you'd understand
