My Angel

Contributed by Vitreous_Soul on Thursday, 19th February 2004 @ 06:51:52 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

In drawing shade the twilight fades
Wind howls through verdant trees
Moonlit bath 'cross dew-scented path
A voice beckons softly

O'er fallen leaves trampled with ease
With ev'ry stride I take
I shamble forth, my plot due north
Toward a tranquil lake

Along this pond, ensconced despond
A veil of sadness looms
Half-hearted thrown, I skip a stone
Azure waters consume

The stone doth land, ripples expand
A splash breaks quiescence
Through water born and sky that's torn
Embodied radiance

I'm given time to weave my rhyme
An orison to sing
I cry my prayer through luminaire
"Descend on pearl white wings"

The last word said, I gaze ahead
Effulgent aura grows
These eyes have met a silhouette
Resplendent beauty flows

On air I stand, extend my hand
Our fingertips connect
She who's enskied, for which I cried
Now brought to life perfect

When our eyes meet I feel complete
A reverie serene
Share kismet's dance, Heaven's romance
Our empyrean scene

At last we kiss, enduring bliss
Beyond mere time and space
'Cross silken lips a zephyr whips
Ethereal embrace

Thus joined as one, 'neath rising sun
An iridescent flair
On brightest morn, my angel's born
The answer to my prayer

Tender, ethereal and touching. I'm sure Sarah Elizabeth will appreciate this - what woman wouldn't?

*jaw tumbles endlessly towards the floor as he gawps at this masterpiece*

Dan .. i have a question.. i very very serious one... can i go out with you :D

This is unimaginably amazing i could see myself and my otherhalf in that moment i truely could

This has to go right up at the top of my endless list of my favorites by you, i think im going to need a new piece of paper because tis list is never ending

The structure and rhyme is flawless, the word useage makes me want to sing

Without any shadow of a doubt in my mind Sarah Elizabeth will be lost in a deep sea of blissful romance and passion after reading this

Truely remarkable

Luke

Dan that is so beautiful. I did read this first as you know :) Am still over whelmed by it and I can't get over how truly beautiful it is. No one has ever written me a poem before, and to have this one written for me, means so much. I can't believe it's real :) It's like a dream.

I love you Dan. So much :) This poem means the world to me, and to have it written by the one person I truly love means so much more than anyone could ever imagine.

The rhyming is awesome too. I've never read a poem which expresses so much meaning and love in it, using such awesome words.

Dan, I love you more than anything, all the world

Thank you.
Stay Beautiful, Stay True, Stay You
Sarah

(Since I really can't come up with words right now...)

*Claps!*

Keep writing,
-Eve.

PS- This is the most gorgeous romantic type poetry I've ever read in my entire lifetime. In fact, it's so ridiculously good that I can't help but wonder if you're some famous writer under the guise of someone normal. If this is too much praise... refer to the above clapping. >>;

When our eyes meet, I feel complete

I would add the comma there. Otherwise, this is perfect. One of the most beautiful I've read on this site. I'm glad I stopped over to check it out.
