Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Can you see as a child does?
The future dwells in innocent eyes.
Hopes' naivete is guided by candlelight
through inculpable thresholds,
and led down passages of contemplation.
Pondering mortality from distances edge,
With widespread arms I fall;
delving deep beneath the waves of history,
and exploring the sunken ships of the past.
Memories bound by aquatic restraints
lie in shallow watery graves.
Some wreckages need never be salvaged,
for the secrets they may unlock, may rip the fabric of your mind.
Searching for distilled thoughts in the
vastness of morality,
coming up short in ethics' eyes.
Spitting in the winds face,
only to be spat back upon.
Heed the tales that warn of
forgotten meaning.
Yesterdays' thoughts have no rememberance
of damages done,
but thirst for the knowledge of quiet
reflections.
Blank visages born of mute
dedications realize,
the gardens of the universe posess the
keys to existence;
and the tree of perception harbors
the secrets to enlightenment.
Restless sentiments plague flourescent
skies.
Will you find what you are looking for?
The only true obtainable peace is in
death's narrow gaze.

Interesting perspective. There are those who would argue that peace is in knowing the one who holds the key to life. A beautiful read.
