I'LL LOVE YOU 'TIL FOREVER

How long is forever,
that my love will linger here
with its sure and steady heartbeat;
a perfume of fragrance rare?
How long is forever
unto a dark and chilling night
when I'll no longer love you
in the leaden gray of dawn,
with no earthly beauty in its sight?
How long long is forever,
when I speak of love for you
with its tingling sparks of warmth
that dance into my soul of spirit blue?
Why forever is the stars
sprinkled in galaxies throughout
time and space,
forever is the shifting landmass
in the universe of this place,
as runners in a race
as they move forward in a game
they cannot win;
forever is the music I hear from
you, around you, and of you,
that does not start, and has no end.
How long is OUR forever?
We were since time began
forever with the light,
in a circle of the heart;
a love that never stops,
a love that goes the distance,
never fading out of sight:
a love that lasts forever.
