Darkened Days

days that grow darker
as the nights linger on
come more frequently
as i wait for the light

fewer and fewer decent
people exist these days or
else it is me and
i'm getting cynical
but i am not bitter yet
for the tears still come
though not as often
as they once did

the dog-eat-dog ways
of this world disturb me
and i wonder at the
lack of tolerence and
uderstanding i see everywhere

where is this thing
called justice
is it gone forever
and are we doomed to
suffer such a horrible fate
as the destruction (bit by bit)
of a once beautiful world???

can we not seek comfort
in His words seek and
you shall find
i only want to know if
I am wholly in His hands
i prayer for once you're
saved your're saved

I'm surprised this has received no comments. I personally loved this and can really relate. Good poem keep on writing.
