Man of Glass

Man of Glass

What dangers does he chance?
The man who’s made of glass
No lie can he tell
No loves deeds befall his Spell
No deceit is his to gain
When shattered by emotion
Is all that he can claim
You see right through him
He cannot hide
His heart seen pounding for wanton pride
Yet he is here the Man of Glass
And you are poorer for his lack of suffering
He is the honesty and the truth
He is the old man and the youth
He cannot hide from you
Nor will he try
So believe in him when you see him cry
No greater love does the clear man have
For the solid World that is so sad

Bob, I am so excited to see you here. This poem is extraordinarily telling of so many sad people in this world that only know how to love things. People seem so much easier to love and give so much back.

Rita

Welcome Aboard Bob, so glad you joined us. You will really like it here at YPDC I sure.
Your poem is extraordinary..very deep, and could mean different things to different people.
I see your glass man as honesty and truth.
And since everything now days in my understanding is just opposite of what it should be, I can see him crying.....because he is being taken the wrong way!
Yes, the world today is a very sad place indeed.
Thanking you so much for sharing.....please continue with you very good writes.
