What Dreams Are For

Contributed by Schnikes13 on Monday, 16th February 2004 @ 11:16:02 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Roses in my bedroom,
Hearts on all the different walls;
A soft piano playing;
What’s the point in staying,
If you’re out?
It’s a never ending syndrome.
My heart is never pleased;
I just wanna be at ease,
Just for once;
Only just for once.

Tell me, do you see me?
Do you see what I’ve been through?
Tell me that you love me,
Tell me that you always do.
That’s all I need,
A companion and a friend;
Whose love for me would never ever end;
Never ever end.

It’s well past my childhood bedtime.
I’m sitting here, thinking back to when,
I never needed anyone.
I’m hearing voices out my window;
Someone’s watching me slowly fall apart.
They’re laughing way too loudly.
They snicker at how I’m all alone;
How I’m on my own.

Tell me, do you see me?
Do you see what I’ve been through?
Tell me that you love me,
Tell me that you always do.
That’s all I need,
A companion and a friend;
Whose love for me would never ever end;
Never ever end.

They just don’t understand it,
They say I’ve got a million friends;
Whose love for me never ever ends;
Never ever ends.
But I’m needing someone else,
I’m no longer sane.
That old train,
Don’t stop here anymore;

Then again, that’s what dreams are for.
