The war in my heart

The shadows march row by row
Towards the land of sunsets glow
Their black armor bone of night
Shows the depth of the deeming spite
The bright light comes to sight
Burning threw the evil night
Row by row the armies march
Their dear blood will the ground so parched
The war begins shadow and light
The metal clangs and the swords bite
Thousands of souls lost and dead
This gentle field becomes the bed
Endless numbers march on and fight
On threw dusk and threw the night
The light of shines crimson red
Honor to the fallen dead
This sad war will not soon end
No sympathy can I lend
The land they fight for is my own
This gentle soul I call home

The feeling here is powerful. Never surrender yourself to the armies of destructive evil. Strength comes from within. We all have it. Sometimes we just have to look hard to find it within ourselves.
