How can you treat me like gold
then turn around and crush my dreams?
How can you act as if you care,
when it's nothing as it seems?
You didn't mean to hurt me,
but it seems that's all you've done.
You didn't mean for me to care,
now you turn around and run.
How can you expect me to control
what I feel inside?
How can you expect me to hold back
the tears I've already cried?
You were everything to me,
I thought I was yours too.
Now that my heart is broken,
what am I to do?
