Tell me the sound of a heart as it breaks
Do you feel all alone as along you traipse
Does it echo off the darkness into the emptiness
Where does it end or does it ever really finish
If you close your eyes and listen to the silence
Only your heartbeat reminds you that you're alive
You may grow cold, empty, and you may grow numb
But your heart will contine on like a broken drum
Love is pure, full, and its fire can ignite
But when love is cruel its destruction shows only smite
When you linger into its smoldering ashes n char
Then you'll know the sound of a broken heart
