When I realized I loved you
I didn’t know what to say
You already had a boyfriend
Much to my dismay

From you I heard stories
Of how he was so great
I realize it’s him
That now I have come to hate

I almost wish he would do something bad
So that I could comfort you
Knowing I can’t have you
Just makes me want to die

Loving you from afar
Has dragged me down to despair
Maybe one day you’ll be mine
About me you’ll truly care

I agree, its absolutely awful to love someone from afar. You placed it well into words.
