THE BUST

My son Montie is 24, we live together.
Nice arrangement for us both, our lives
couldn't be brighter.
Sometimes people just think this is strange?
We don't care..for them we won't change.

I don't tell him what to do, and likewise,
he wouldn't date do that to me!
He studies a lot, and I write a lot of poetry.
We have six dogs, we share the bills,
works out quite nicely!
But still some people question this blindly?

When someone calls here at home I'm
the one to answer.
I have a high voice like a child,
this really makes them wonder?
The people where he works begin to tease.
"You don't really live with your mom,
Montie, you have a girlfriend, and 6 puppies!"

Of course they have never seen me, I don't
go out in the cold much.........
Montie asked if I'd help him escape
this clutch?
"Come in the store, and act real mean,
no one will will know you!
After we bust them, I'll introduce you as my
Mom, quite a breakthrough!!"

When I opened the door to the store...
I waited until there wasn't a customer.
Then I stepped to the counter, so Montie
could see me, he's a good actor?
I realized then that I couldn't be mean.
I asked, "Do you wash your hands before you
put on those gloves. I want to make
sure you are clean?"

Well, Montie dutifully kept a straight face,
and offered to wash.
Then he reapplied his gloves, and I asked
the same of the woman, her expression was
"Oh, My Gosh!"
I learned later she was the manager,
and didn't have the slightest idea
of whom I was?
"What kind of drinks do you have, do you
have any booze........????
a pause...........

The lady stepped into the back, she
was going to lose it.
I called Montie "Sonny", my heart was
giggling, this was a real fun skit!
Next I attacked the food, and said that
I couldn't see the price.....they should make
their menus larger!
By now everyone was a little nervous,
I was about to bust my garter!

I stepped to the cashier to pay my bill.
and faked "No money!"
"Do you have some dishes I can wash,
this isn't funny?"
The little cashier was so sweet, she assured
me there were plenty of dishes in the back!
I was truly amazed, no one laughed, they
really had lots of tack!

I had to think of a way to get out of this place?
So, I wrote a check, and said to the sweet
litte cashier, "The last name is Pyle."
She motioned to Montie and said,
"Oh, that's his name too!", with a smile.
I said to Montie, "Is that your first name, Sonny?"
Still without a smile or any trace of
recognition, he replied, "Montie."

With a look of astonishment, I then said,
"Really, now, that's my sons name too!":
"What's your middle name, Sonny?"
Montie said, "LeMontie."
"Well I'll be jiggered, that's what I
named my son too!"
They were all busted and stunned,
through and through.......
Everyone really laughed, it was especially
rewarding for we two!

"I'd completely forgotten
it was Friday the 13th......
a perfect day for a "Bust!"
*smiles*

Like mother, like son, it seems. You two must have more fun than a barrel of monkeys. You two are so lucky to have each other and enjoy the life you have. God has blessed you both.

Rainbows,
Rita
