Disappearing thoughts

A blank page;
an empty canvas,
awaiting inspiration.
Silent testament to an idle mind.
Rampant thoughts overflowing
the damns of logical capacity,
like unsettled stallions galloping
across mental planes reaching no end.
Focus all but given up upon.
Memories migrating for warmer climates.
Concentration drifitng away on silver
veined clouds, over the rooftops
of the world.
Seeking to court the muse that has
been ever elusive.
Reaching for rhyme and reason in the
depths of poetic vacancy,
only to grasp onto nothing and
return to paralyzed trance,
mesmerized by the void.
