Nothing Real About Friendship

Topic: AngryPoetry

There's nothing real about friendship
It's nothing but lies and deceit.
In all my life and my many attemps
I thought a true friend I would meet.

It didn't end up turning out right
I guess it wasn't meant to be
Am I destined to be friendless all my life?
To drift in that dark and lonely sea.

I thought that you were the one
Who would always be by my side
I thought you would never hurt me
I didn't have to keep all of my pain inside.

With you I felt I could open up
You really used to listen
But you only cared about your end
My heart feels beaten into submission

As long as I was there for you
That's all you cared about
It may have taken me quite a while
But now I have you all figured out.

It took you turning your back on me
For me to finally realize
That you weren't what you appeared to be
You kept a good cover even looking into my eyes.

You didn't really want to be my friend
You were waiting for an excuse
To tell me you didn't want me around
In the beginning you just couldn't tell the truth.

I am more hurt now
Than I would have been
You said you were my "big sister"
I thought you considered me kin.

I guess this is the end
And there is no looking back
Now that things went down like this
We'll never get a friendship back on track!

very nicely written. Apparently you have gone through a really bad event with a friend. I know how it feels.

There is reality in true friendship. You'll never make it through life without friends. It's impossible. There's One great Guy up in heaven that cares for me, and won't ever leave me. If not Him, take me as a friend. I've never broken a friendship, and I never intend to. In friendships people give there hearts away, trusting completly in the other person to be true to the laws of love. You've gone through that. Please, give friendship another chance.
Take care.
David

Alas, true friendship takes work. It exists, but only in the heart that desires it enough to give themselves for it.
Don't give up hope!
