Valentine day passes by

Topic: LoveRemembered

Once you have loved, you will always love.
For what's in your mind may escape,
but what's in your heart will remain forever.

It’s the 14th of Feb., Valentines Day,
right from the beginning of the month I am looking forward to this day.

Morning turns to afternoon and afternoon to evening,
with a rose in my hand I am still waiting for you in the wing.

As the day progresses my rose has started to wilt,
it couldn’t bear the warmth of my hand
and downwards it’s started to tilt.

I guess love is not for everyone,
everyone includes me who has never had a chance to express my love to anyone.

As the evening turns to night my rose has wilted and has left my side,
am I destined to wait forever to give someone a rose and stand by my side?

As always, St.Valentine has decided not to bless me this year,
i guess I have to wait for my time,
till then I am keeping my wilted rose in a book
“Hey you out there,
the girl of my dreams,
i love you,
i am waiting for you by cherishing each dried rose,
which reminds me of you year after year.”

Every breath I take,
i feel life is giving me another chance to give a take.

I am playing my part,
with you in my heart.

As death knocks my door,
I say “Wait Mr. Death just for a minute,
who knows my loved one might just walk in through that door?”

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
