The Dragons Den

Contributed by maryetta on Saturday, 14th February 2004 @ 11:38:47 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

she waits her time goading you on relentlessly
knowing your patience is wearing thin keeps pushing
you walk out of the room knowing alzheimers rules
shes right behind you not giving an inch
the dragons den brews her contempt

her mind manifest all the anger she feels towards you
shes like a little dragon spewing fire and contempt
her attacks are relentless and never consistant
the dragons den brews her contempt

there are days she can be very sweet and kind
i just wish i knew when they would occur
but as she advances with this terrible disease
so does her aggressive behavior just like the dragon
the dragons den brews her contempt

it is my theory that as the brain cells disappears
so does her understanding her anger becomes
misplaced and i become her target for all that
is wrong with her world she forgets alzheimers exist
the dragons den brews her contempt

U r a very sweet, endering, luving daughter to take care of your mom and by witing all the ups, downs, heart wrenching pains from her disease.
It's really good that you can understand beyond what she' s going thru. That takrs a very sttrong person. I do know u will never regret taking care of her. I know the agony of seeing them leave a peice at a time weather it be altimers or cancer.......When u look back and read this u will be amazed and God held u in the palm of his hand to help you'll with this. there will be a time when you'll realize jus how much he sustains us in those cold dark hours.
U r in my thoughts and prayers my dear sweet friend.
God bless u with his peace that passeth all Earthly understanding.
luv, huggs,
emy
