Smiling moon, guiding me with your pale light,
Bring me back to my one and only love.
Let me drink of her tender kiss tonight
As you smile down upon us from above.
I have missed her soft embrace for too long,
Been robbed of the chill I get from her touch,
Her cheery smile, her voice, an angel’s song.
It pains one to love another this much.
Though alas, sweet moon, we are yet alone,
For she whom I love is still far away.
But for my lady, I will fast condone
Her absence from me for another day.
For as I look on you, so plain to see,
She, who smiles at you, is smiling to me.

Really lovely and sweet. It brings a smile to my face. Also because I know why you two were apart on this Valentines Day :) |
