Fading.Fidelity - Preparing for Flight

Contributed by spiffyphil on Saturday, 14th February 2004 @ 01:46:29 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Making it work, making it right.
Stars pulse dimm these heavy nights
When fidelity fails it's loyalty,
Fast lanes - airplanes - looking for speed

Where can I escape, and not fail?
Vast lands with sincere tales,
A simple life where I only need watch,
Not getting involved, not staying in touch,

Breaking out of jail, its been done before,
No more routine, no more dirty whores,
Forget this life, and start a new
No place of popular - a refuge for few

People like me, who understand,
Others also searching for that land,
Written words with all they can give,
Art and Literature is all that we live,

What world would that be?
Just sitting thinking of philosophy,
Depression - Obsession - Emotion
Sunny beach days staring at the ocean,

No nine to five to get in the way,
Just being alive is our weekly pay,
Gilligans Island all over again,
But no escape, no need to return,

Depressed - Drugged days
Drunken stuppors, stoned glaze
Let me count each and every way
I've lost the meaning of "today"

Eyes wide shut in dark club corners,
Distorted reality - pointless orders,
These toxins are what poison one's mind,
failing to see those of simliar kind,

Those who die because they can't addapt,
Not living each day - not giving a crap,
Dreaming of what is impossible,
Selfish dreams - inconceivable,

But they're the same just as you or me,
They take reality hard - so difficult to be,
If we could share identical dreams,
We'd rip unique qualities - from it's seams,

So what is this poems relavance?
Perhaps not understanding this deliverance?
Fading fidelity - if you dont already know,
Is the lost faith in yourself - no room to grow,

I have faith in that I will find that beach,
Sit down with someone and begin to preach,
Upon the ways life works and how to suceed,
All the time thinking outside the box - with weed,

A whole day, doing nothing else,
Escaping responsibilities, no concern for wealth,
Just appreciating each golden breath and sight,
Preparing for flight.

Now thats some poem! They say life is what you make it, Ive come to think its what people around you allow you to make it most of the time..Being boxed in and feeling you have so much more to grow... its frustrating. I think im going on a bit here.. :) But well done.
