You Deserve....

Contributed by ToriVeigh on Saturday, 14th February 2004 @ 10:59:52 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I know a man
He’s wonderful to behold
He’s loving and true
He’s brave and bold

More than anything
I want him to be happy
Whomever his plaything
I know it sounds sappy

But reality is this
He may never feel secure
He deserves to feel bliss
Not just to endure

It hurts so much
To think of you with another
If your happiness takes such
Find it with some other

I love you beyond words
And my heart you’d break
I’d rather see you move forward
Then be miserable for my sake

Don’t get me wrong
I want you to stay
The suffering’s been long
For our healing, I pray

I want to witness your delight
Even if I’m not involved
With the loss of my light
Your pain may dissolve

If that’s what it takes
For your happiness to reign
I’ll take the heartbreaks
Let me take the pain

I think you both deserve to be happy. What ever happens, I'm sure it will be the best for the both of you. Besides, he's not all that anyway.
