My words fade into silence, as I gaze into your eyes
And in shyness here I pause … while my heart is mesmerized
A thousand flowers could not express, the love that rises here
Nor words, nor gift, be worth enough to show my love’s sincere
My heart beats in a rhythm that only answers to your call
Yet knowing in our future that a thousand tears may fall
The depth of love surviving such a pain we’re driven to
Can only be a gift that God has granted me and you
As our tears may fall in unison, yet always shed apart
My comfort is in knowing that you live within my heart
And though it seems forever is the day we’re waiting for
I’ll wait until forever, for a thousand years and more
