If you could only see what I know
What through my mind does flow
The hurt and the pain
Those are here to remain
Your words are engraved in my mind
My soul they will forever bind
Sending out my desperate cries
I am trapped in your nasty lies
I want to run and escape
Your heavy black cape
It is weighing down upon me
Will I ever be free?
Denial fills most of my days
With my heart it angrily plays
Once in a while I doubt the reality
Did this really happen to me?
Then the anger swells within
When did this begin?
When did you pervert our friendship?
Did you plan this, the whole trip?
Do you want to destroy me?
Please just let me be
Let your memory grow faint
My thoughts no longer taint
Let me forget your words
Let them fly from me like birds
Let me forget the good things about you
Even now they seem so few
Let me not remember your care
To my heart that just wouldn’t be fair
Let me forget you exist
I scream with a tightened fist!
