The world’s not ready to see deeper
than my face,
knowing my secret of unwilling grace.
The world’s not ready to see me cry,
as they would laugh as my tears fall
from the sky.
The world’s not ready to hear my
story,
the trouble in my life and unfound
glory.
The world’s not ready to accept my
life,
and hear the thoughts of my constant
fight.
The world’s not ready to here the truth,
they wouldn’t understand all the adults
and youth.
The world’s not ready to know my
trouble,
to hear the fear in my constant struggle.
