To Whom It Concerns

Contributed by jazz on Friday, 13th February 2004 @ 12:52:04 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

To whom it concerns,
I'm only 22.
I'm young enough to cry,
and old enough to be blue.

To whom it concerns,
I'm not tall and thin.
Nobody likes fat people,
so I don't have many friends.

To whom it concerns,
I try to be bold,
but I still have nothing.
I'm lonely and cold.

To whom it concerns,
life's just not fair.
I'm in complete hell.
I just thought I'd share.

I'm afraid of rejection,
afraid of getting burned.
I just thought I'd mention it,
to whom it concerns.

Oh Jazz this just hit me at my core. When I was growing up, I thought I was an ugly bean pole. I hated everything about me. I had to learn to love who I am, me--Kie. It is whats inside that really counts because even the most beautiful people, will not always be beautiful....Kie

Oh Jazz.... This is an awesome write.... So sad that you feel this way, but YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL..... inside beauty is what counts.... and you shouldn't worry too much about what others think...Love yourself...and others will love you..

True friends will see the beauty inside, and the way you write is beautiful.

Dearest Jazz,
I do hope you will come to realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is nothing as the right term of "beautiful" because it's different for every person, luckily !Coming to terms with the person you are, loving that person and respecting it even through it's worst side,is the best gift you could ever ever give yourself. You gain confidence, assurance and become even more beautiful than you already are.I don't know about your faith in God,but you are His child,His image, just think how beautiful that is !God is perfect,He doesn't make errors on his creations. If you were to die tomorrow, you would want people to remember your heart,if only EVERYONE could understand these words.I may be going too far with my words of wisdom, lol, but I thought I'd tell you that loving yourself makes everything in life so much easier.Trust me,I've been through it.You expressed yourself really well(once again)and I only hope my words will have some kind of impact on you because I'm sure you already are beautiful inside and out.
