I've nothin' to write about,
nothin's inspired me lately
And now I'm sittin' here wonderin'
Why I've poured my soul out on paper numerous times
Why have I put the essence of emotion on paper?
Not to persuade people,
or to make someone feel different towards me
It would all be pointless
Because, despite what people may say,
I know I'm nothin'
And it's everytime I look in the mirror,
I see a man who's got a lot,
but none of what he's been lookin' for,
none of what he's been longin' for
I see a man who sits around,
just dreamin' the whole day away
Dreamin' about the mistakes he made,
and dreamin' about what's never come his way
And he knows it probably won't,
'cause he knows he's nothin'
