I hold her dear and stroke her hair
Life to me seems quite fair
Love is but a mere word
The bitter thing we all have heard
Love can not be said
If it is it’s all but dead
Simple words can glorify not
Passion now that time has forgot
To hold her now and stroke her hair
Is all the justice of my care
Love can’t be sad
Nor does it lie in the bed
Love is alive in well
Where you heart want to dwell
All to be said is SA La Fair
Words I would say I wouldn’t dare

This is beautiful, Shadow. You are right. Empty words can be uttered, but true everlasting love is proven with time. .
