How do you feel?

Contributed by forever_lonely on Thursday, 12th February 2004 @ 06:59:17 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

A crying child, lost and ashamed
His empty voice left with no name
A silent tear strikes the ground
Crashing through without a sound

Upon his head an angel lies
As his soul just cries and cries
She whispers life in his heart of pain
To realise it was all in vein

A crashing thud, his fathers here
Calls his boy to clamber near
A drunken swing, a liquid kick
The boy so hurt is sick and sick

The boy runs far, to bed with he
But the end its never now to be
His father follows, he has no use
This boy will meet a new abuse

Years do pass this boy lived on
Strong within, he sings a song
'Im to blame its all my fault
I could not bring him to a Halt'

This boy now man, can take no more
His emotions lost, the final score
Hes a cannon, lost and loose
So he dies around the noose.

All beause of his father abuse
This poor boy felt he had no use
He took his life, from guilt not real
The question I ask, 'how do you feel?'

Wow, awesome write!
I have known people in such a case. I was victim of abuse myself and I feel the words that you wrote!
Great Job!
By the way,
I feel it is a shame people take their pain out on others and cause them such grief.

Well-written piece. A long time ago I would have said that this was shocking and repulsive, but considering everything else that happens in the world, nothing really surprises me anymore.
