I have yet to shave my face to
this skull. What about your
legs Eve? How much is tonight's
gold medallion really worth?
Certainly not the effort. Personally,
I think it would only turn your
breasts green (to match your eyes).
Wouldn't that be magically delicious?
So much for fig leaves.
Sweet Lilith you had blood of
honey. If it were me then,
you could have been on top.
You fled from that susceptible fool
who's enamor was as bland and
obvious as a dead soldier coming
home without a scratch. Your
moves were spectacular; enough
to throw all of humanity into
an ultimate checkmate.
Sweet daemoness! We can love,
now that your father's no longer at
home. Our music will outlast the
evergreens; my lute your voice
and percussion. In time the children
will be invited to play, and you'll
finally be able to drown in that sea
of pity. Future generations will
make due with our echoes.
I am old, and I am dying, we
will share simple pleasures on our
deathbed.
For now is when we live oblivious
to the existence of our true love.
We find laughter in numb candles,
and in those well known unknown
to us. Our last sunset together was
much better than our first, (the one
before the seventh day when
everything had been left to us).
Our legacy creeps in like the taste
of bad weather. It's time we break
the record, and destroy all
which was ever known.

Real swell. I really liked it at first, but I got a little sleepy around the middle and had to go take a nap. After I woke up I tried to pick up from the middle, but I lost my love for the poem. So I'll give it a 3.7 on the Nortiscale. |
