Small World

Topic: SadPoetry

Little Jenny had a ball
It was beautifull, round and small
It was clean and new and shiny
Very soft and very tiny

It had colours of the world
Green and blue and brown and gold
Jenny went outside to play
It was a lovely sunny day

She bounced and kicked the little ball
Threw it high, then let it fall
Didn't catch it, it rolled away
And the sun rays showed the way

Slowly sun light became dim
And the clouds closed in
Wind grew stronger every second
And the air around blackened

Thunder struck and rain started
Wind got stronger, hail darted
Ball got wet, fell into mud
Stuck on it was dirt and dust

From the cold and dirt it shrunk
And it looked like a dirt chunk
Fading colours got all cripled
And the soil Got all rippled

People walked and stepped on it
Threw their sigarette buts at it
Cars drove by, spashed it with dirt
And it couldn't say a word

This is what world's like today
Geting worse day by day
How long it takes us to relize
That our planet slowly dies

That our children breathing poison
Every day we dig the coffin
For our pretty little world
It is really too late to stop?

I like it. It could pertain to the "culture smog" of our day. Just a suggestion--I would change
"dust" to crud to rhyme with mud and--the last two lines to--For our pretty, God given, earth:
Lets repent and give it a new berth. I'm just a stickler for rhyme, I guess.
PS. You did well printing the desavowel at the top. The tree huggers will love it anyway.

I express feeling and not just try to rhyme everything like you, so don't tell me how to write my stuff. Either read it or move on. And God... God who? ***** GOD!
