Living in the Letters

Contributed by Strat on Thursday, 12th February 2004 @ 01:14:48 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

the ivory towers that call your name will betray you
the security they provide is false,
and when the siren's call draws you closer
will you be immune to the propoganda they feed you?
when the love of your life comes around
will you know for sure
will he pass you by?
the transparancy that you've become
is the thickest of walls...
let me see you,
where you're going,
what you're feeling,
the flame of your existance is so dim
throw fuel on the fire,
let the warmth fight back the bitter cold numbness
and give you feeling once more,
when the blood flows to your fingers
maybe you'll be happy again
i cant help if you're not there,
your transparency has illuded me once more
and the flames of life are so dim in you
that all that remains is the invisible glow that no one
including you can see or feel,
and your fading away from everyone and everything that has ever loved and needed you
and now that you've gone
i will miss you always,
i'll never touch the silk of your skin
or smell the perfume that made my blood run hot
i'm left with the cherished memory of the loved and the lost
our quiet nights spent under the stars of shining glory
and your eyes of amber brilliance,
and the solem pride that is mine alone
to have known you...
and now you live in the letters written by a broken heart
conveyed in my memories
the only ones that seemed to fit you
so now carry on and may you find peace at last
living in the letters
signed i will love you always and forever...
