End of the Rope

Contributed by James_Forest on Wednesday, 11th February 2004 @ 09:26:26 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I’m at the end of the rope
I don’t know what to do
Nobody anymore can help me
Nobody has a clue
Some people might suspect
That something isn’t right
Now everybody who cares will know
Something will happen tonight
Which way will be the fastest
Which way will hurt the least
Tonight I will find out
Tonight my life will cease
Maybe somebody will care
And keep me from my demise
Tomorrow my friends will know
That today their friend has died
I’m having second thoughts now
Of what I planned tonight
Going through with this
Will take much more than spite
Maybe people will miss me
Much more than I suspect
Maybe some will hear the news
And go cold and cry and fret
And what about my loved ones
What will they make of this
Maybe they’ll read this poem
It’s surely hit or miss
No! I can’t go on
With this woeful deed
I’ll put the gun away
Tonight I will not bleed

I am glad you made the right choice. I know to many who have made the wrong choice and as a survivor of suicide I just want to let you know its not worth it. I hope that if you ever get down like that again you will talk to someone and let them try to show you another open path. it was a good write however. ~Day~
