Ghost of a Vampires glare

Contributed by forever_lonely on Wednesday, 11th February 2004 @ 07:09:53 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A wash of tears in emotions dry
A silent thought of questions why
Lasting forever in sea of moonlight
A broken trust, words of ill sight

Remember the times, locked in my memory
A shadowy ghost, never to be free
We flittered through life, each crack of regret
Each ghost of the shadows making me forget

You watch time whipser, but never grow old
Swallowed the sounds that your soul now sold
A vampire of eternal loss, watching the moonlit glare
We circled round internal hate, lost in its motionless stare

Entrapted within these walls stone cold
Time flies by but you never age old
You cry a tear of lost crimson red
Waiting for the shadow of a ghost now dead.

It sems to me you used to vampire as imagery, (I hope I am right?). You did this amazingly. The rhythms were perfect, and it seem to stick with me afterwards.. Good poem! I love it!

Wow! That was so dark mysterious but fascinating at the same time! First vamp poem I've read in ages, and by far one of my favorites! Well done.

Right off the bat, anything vampire related is gonna get my stamp of approval!

Also, this is really the best word usage i've seen from you...."A vampire of eternal loss, watching the moonlit glare
We circled round internal hate, lost in its motionless stare"....c'mon, that's just insanely good! One of your best to date, my friend. Consider me impressed.

Truly,
-V.S.

I'm here at your request, not of my own chosing and rather (as I was with the other poem you asked me to read,) in a "world"
wherein I find empathy very difficult.

But I know well written poetry when I see it and this certainly fullfills the qualities that I
enjoy.

It is technically very good, in essence,
rhyme and meter. (so many one sees in YPDC do not accept the challeng poetry puts upon us)

I congratulate you on your skill and was stirred by your imagery, much better than I could achieve in this vien.

Perhaps actual experience of war (1939-45)
de-sensitised many of us and we became inured to the impact of "dark poetry" etc.
wanting to shut out anything that reminds us of that time.. Emotional cowards if you like..
