I lay awake in bed each night,
Staring off into the nothingness,
Wondering.
Wondering about what it would be like,
If I were to roll over,
And see you laying there next to me.
To see your chest rise and fall,
As steady as the ocean waves outside our room.
To hear you breathe in and out,
As calmly as the hum of the airconditioner.
I roll over,
Only to be greeted by my pillow.
Ohhh how I would give anything,
To trade it in for you.
If not for the rest of my life,
But for just one night.
I long,
To hold you in my arms,
To Wisper gently into your sleeping ear,
'I love you'
Then lay my head down next to yours.
And as I begin to fall asleep,
I can feel your smiling face gleeming back at me.
The last thing,
Before I fall completely asleep,
Is your sweet voice wispering into my ear,
'I love you more'
