If its not enough, then why do we try
We eat at our thoughts, we cry and we cry
We say were be ok, but we never will
We just end up looking at that final pill
If its not enough, then why do we try
We know its not right that parents say goodbye
We cant help but think that were odd
We cant even find, love in our true god
If its not enough, then why do we try
We know we cant spread our wings and fly
We hate the way you make us feel small
We sing without a reason, this our beckoning call
If its not enough, then why do we try
We feel the pain, you make examples by
We know were not perfect, but we carry on
We sing along in graceful words to this tuneless song
If its not enough, then why do we try....
... Because we cant bare to hurt you

I know where you're at. Here's something I wrote a while ago that has helped me through.

Rejection Notice
I found God, too
In the midst of all my tears
You see, I was never "good enough"
Not for mother, father, teacher, or spouse
always falling 1/4 inch short
Never felt hurt that deep
Guess I needed a comeupance
Who did I think I was after all?
Someone worthy of being loved?
It's only when we are reduced to nothing,
that we see how much God loves us...
accepts us
To Him, we are always enough
