Seaside symphonies,
Salt-water cries,
Waves crash into me,
Innocence dies.
This crownless king and jezebel queen,
Rest among the shrines and worthless rings.
Ghosts of our youth,
Fantasies of the past,
Who's to say they've not to last?
Sunlit kisses,
Sand-covered bodies,
Doused in riches,
And sensual glories,
Forsaken duties of righteous ones,
Blessed intimacy with a smoking gun,
Photographed time,
But it hasn't yet occurred,
Images of the mind,
In my depths still burn.

Some poems amuse us, some poems are grand, other so inspire us to aspire to a higher land...
"Seaside symphonies" is my favourite phrase, of this oceanic masterpiece. Thanks for sharing.
