These Mortal Eyes

Much these mortal eyes have seen,
The faces of both friend and foe,
Watched emotions, cool, and serene,
And faces of fear and hatred or woe.
But there is one with a matchless grace,
A beauty so bright I can only glance,
Yet still I know it's a goddess's face,
Her gaze more piercing than horseman's lance.
Will these mortal eyes ever gain the right
To watch their goddess, and not turn away?
Will they look through the radiance and take in the light,
And, mortal no more, their gaze never stray...?

Chya your eyes won't stray, but you better have some googles or something on! I like this... it's gorgeous!
