|
in the night
tight dress
selling flesh
for a taste of the good *****
black tar, no less
mouth love on a skin needle
then on the bathroom floor
the needle bleeds her softly
and she's flying
or is she sinking
at this point it's always hard to tell
which side of the bed feels like heaven
and which feels like hell
she begins to fall
as she begins to fly
inside her mind
hate rapes love
and love just sighs
her thoughts are windows
to forgotten futures
that she surrendered long ago
on the street, just a hooker
in this bed, a queen
her eyes are changing color
and her skin is made of water
he sits beside her and watches
his hand on her thigh
his fingers grazing the gateway
to a love soaring high
his lips on her feet
as she steps on his lies
he says that he loves her
but kills her with his eyes
strobe lit love
in a cheap hotel
flashes of blood
lust, sweat, and hell
flesh pressed, entwined
as two become none
it all feels so empty
but it all feel so good
she wakes
he's gone
she's coming down
and she knows she's losing weight
her habits begin to show in her face
but somehow in this lonely place
life doesn't feel like such a waste
just a natural progression
of the choices she made
on the streets again
hoping for a taste
still a few hours
before the sun chases her away
some would call it a wasted life
but for her it's all that's left
painting her eyes and flashing thigh
trading flesh for death

| You painted a realistic picture and I have to say this is an excellent write by you. Where you get the ideas, I don't know and I don't want to know but you do have an enormous amount of talent and this is my favorite of yours. It said so much, it really did. Kie |
