His Love

Contributed by Lone_er on Monday, 9th February 2004 @ 08:05:03 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I'm At home
With my Father above
I went not alone
But in the company of love
The love of my wife
My family and friends
The love of my God
The love that never ends
It was His love that sustained me
Every moment of every day
And His love that placed my feet
Upon the narrow highway
It was His love that held
Guided and protected me all along
His love that chastised and disciplined
Standing firm when I was wrong
It was His love who strengthened me
When I was weak
Taught my heart to listen
When He would speak
It was His love who taught me
To judge fairly how I live
His love who demanded
I do more than forgive
And today it's His love
Who holds me by the hand
And bids me welcome
To the promised land !
Russ
