You and I Might Marry

Contributed by norm on Monday, 9th February 2004 @ 05:13:15 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I have a good friend, Irwin Ell,
Perhaps his name does ring a bell,
His surely known from coast to coast,
The girls all think he is the most.

There are times his face I'd slap,
Irwin doesn't give a rap,
If there are girls within a room,
Irwin thinks it's time to zoom.

Altho the girls seem not to mind,
It leaves me cold for I can't find
A girl who'll pay attention to
A guy like me, a missing shoe.

"Win", I say, "If you don't care,
I'd like a girl tho not to share,
One I'd call my very own,
One you're not allowed to phone."

He sneered and laughed and turned away,
"No way, my friend, I say, no way,
Girls are made to grab and kiss
And not a one e'er would I miss."

Listen, girls, please hear me out,
If you can block friend, Irwin's tout,
I'm a guy who's marriage ready,
Sweet and tender, very steady.

We'll live a life of harmony,
Nothing short of rhapsody,
If this sounds good, please let me know,
And you and I thru life will go.

Norm you are such a rascal, I can't believe any man could possibly get more attention from the ladies than you do.
Love the poem.

This is really good! I have a really good friend that this reminds me of. His brother is exactly like Irwin, yet he seems to take every girl that he cares for.

How funny this is. Yes, have known many 'Irwins' in my lifetime. Love em and leave em leachers. They are good for an ego boost. Give me a steady loving man anytime. Romeo's just don't don't make the grade with me. Funny write. Rita
