I couldn't take it after it all came tumbling down,
the self-hatred and the shame were more than I could bear.
The cold fingers that absentmindedly grazed my skin,
cutting through my heart without a single care.
Cast upon a cold floor devoid of a shelter to guard my corpse,
naked and chained to a wall of pain to forever haunt me.
Lost within my own thoughts I claw at the stone,
strength pushes against me harder than I could believe.
Blood matting my once straight hair that shone without care,
my eyes dull as the pain once again opens these wounds to bleed.
The life slips from me as the blood seeps from my veins,
your eyes that I once loved are the last thing I see.
Irrevocable events that scarred my vulnerable body
play by in a spell of dizziness and nausea drowning my being.
Yet I hide my pain in the depths of my soul and
to most it passes by bitterly unseen.
Go ahead and look down on me,
it soon won't matter anymore.
I venomously cast all my faith aside,
falling farther and farther from you than before.
No one can place all of the pieces once again
once the angel has finally been broken,
when words once softly whispered in humble ears
-when they are no longer spoken.
Your face is unfortgotten in my sorrowful memories,
and this is how it shall remain forever to be.
I lie here near a pure state of death crying alone,
your words playing like a record by me.
The torment is too much to forget,
and the blood on my skin remains freshly shed,
from all that I sacrifice for the sake of you,
to live in shame I have bled.
