Just as I thought my life could get no worse,
You prove me wrong.
It often happens that way, just like a curse.
I was doomed all along.
Is there no happiness for me to find?
I depended on you.
The one and only thing I looked forward to,
And I’ve lost that, too.
It’s your decision, and you’ve made it,
You’re such a big boy!
You want my approval but it seems,
I forgot to jump for joy!
Was I supposed to be ecstatic?
Sorry to disappoint you.
This has broken my heart,
My hopes and dreams, too.
I wanted forever with you,
A family and a home.
But now I find out,
That we’ll be alone.
If ever we make a life together,
We’ll have nothing to show.
No kids to come home to,
No living proof of how our love grows.
Thank you for this,
For proving me wrong.
For letting me know before it’s too late,
And our relationship moves along.
You’ve made your decision,
And I’ve made mine too.
You don’t want my kids?
Well then I don’t want you…

What a terribly sad poem... i hope this isn't true... like you said though, if it is... it's a good thing he told you now before you were all married up... have a nice day. Butterat Zool. |

guess what...my hubby told me he was sterile...before we got married; I wasn't supposed to have kids because of a medical condition....I believed him..never thought a man would put someone's life at risk like that.
I had one child safely..that was a blessing...but our marriage has never had trust in it since....I liked your poem...good rhyming...kind of hope you dumped him..but its not my business...I'm just a bitter old woman LOL, wondering why he did that.... |
