Picking You Up

Contributed by Angelchild on Sunday, 8th February 2004 @ 07:40:49 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Don't you ever wonder
If some things are meant to be?
Sure, we feel as if it should be
When things go our way
But do we ever notice
The ones who just take it as it comes?
It shows us just how wonderful they truely are
Even through all the pain and tears
They can bring out a smile from the surly person on the other end of the phone
The world is filled with people
But in my eyes --- we never see
The ones who hold us together
Do you know how much you hold me
Even when I should be holding you?
You're always so strong,
But feel free to fall apart wherever you need
I'll be here with you all the way
To pick up your peices..

I lost my mother to cancer recently and I think that your friend is pretty special for not letting the pain get in the way of taking care of friends. Beautiful words about a beautiful friend.

Reading this almost made me cry, it was so sad.....your friend is an angel, we should have more people like that in the world.

This is such an amazing poem it brought tears to my eyes wondering if everything that you write comes from your heart I hope so because you are really lucky to have a gift like this it is a gift sent from God.
