You Make Me More Than Happy

Topic: LovePoetry

I don't know what to say other than
"You make me more than happy."
Things happen for a reason,
This statement is true.
It's definitely a miracle that I have found you.

You make me smile,
You make me laugh.

You took me in when I had nowhere to go,
You even insisted when I said no.
It's been a week now,
As each day goes by things get better.
Liz Phair says, "We're already wet and we're gonna go swimming."
Well as times passes we get wetter and I think we're winning.

You've changed so much and I won't ask why.
But you make me so much more than happy,
It almost makes me cry.

When things between us ended
I didn't care what the reason was.
I knew I was going to miss you.
I felt it, after all, "breaking up is hard to do."

The butterflies in my stomach rapidly started to fly around.
You had me so high,
And so abruptly I hit the ground.

Well that stage in our lives is now in our past,
and hopefully what I think is developing
will somehow grow and last.

I know a relationship requires a lot of effort and time.
And I know that you want to enjoy your "single life",
and I'll try to enjoy mine.

I respect your wants and needs,
But even though we're not official
Or know for sure if we'll ever be,
For you my heart still bleeds.

You constantly say you know I love you,
But you say it as though you are joking around.
I hope this doesn't scare you away,
But Joe,
I do.
I love you.

Please don't say goodbye now that you know.
Just always remember I'll be with you
Wherever you go.
I'll be behind you no matter what you choose,
I'll always be willing to help
Whether you win or lose.

Whenever you need me,
I'll be there.
Please believe that as long as I live
I'll still care.

When you're scared
I'll fight away your fears.
When you cry
I'll wipe away your tears.

Your sense of humor is my ultimate cure.
My love for you is forever and pure.

You promised if we're together again,
it'll be official and you'll make it clear.
And I understand you want to get your life together first,
Well loving you is going to keep me here.

There are so many reasons for wanting you to accept my love,
I truly believe you were sent from above.

We have so much in common
And share so many interests.
We get along great,
And so much more.
If this is not saying we should be together,
Than what is life for?

You make me more than happy,
I hope I do the same for you.
I love you Joe.
I truly, deeply swear I do.

Wonderfully written. If only we could all find someone so perfect for us. You did a great job expressing your feelings. Thanks for sharing.
