Another Holiday Alone

Another holiday where I will be utterly alone
Sitting here by myself in my home
Happiness should fill the air
But for me happiness is just not there.
It will be just another day for me
Twenty-four more hours of lonely misery
A day where lovers unite
Is a day for me that just blends into the night.
Love was once there, and this holiday was one of celebration
Now I am just another lonely soul, another lost love patient
I have no rose to give to no one
I have no love, because I have no love that has begun.
I will again sit here in the dark
Wondering if this life is my mark
Crying dry tears of pain
Another day where I have nothing to lose, yet I have nothing to gain
I need to find love and finally open this door
Another holiday alone, I just can’t do this anymore
I ask why me, while I look up above
Believe it or not, I too deserve to be loved.
The roses in my eyes are black and dead
The flowers in my mind are just thorns in my head
No fragrant smell of something good
Not growing, not that it ever would.
The love I had, by all my ex’s has been crucified
Not by choice, but it was a forced suicide
All the love I gave, crushed then torn
My past loves, are the ones that made my love scorn
So another holiday I celebrate alone
No flowers, no candy, no love, no calls on the phone
Utterly alone I will be for another one
My love no longer wanted, never again giving it out, I am done!

| Majestic I certainly could relate to this write. Been thinking the same thoughts and they increase the closer the holiday becomes. I liked this poem alot and hang in there with the rest of us (the poor unloved lot) we'll make it thru...Kie |
