Tell Me You Don't Love Me

Contributed by jazz on Sunday, 8th February 2004 @ 12:14:16 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Tell me you don't love me,
so I can walk away.
I can't take the drama anymore,
but maybe I can, someday.

Tell me you don't love me,
so my heart can be set free.
I'll no longer want you as I do,
and I can learn to breathe.

Tell me you don't love me,
so my pain can come to end.
We can't go back to the way we were.
No, we can't go back there again.

Tell me you don't love me,
so no more tears can bleed.
I'll no longer feel the pain,
for my heart will finally be freed.

Tell me you don't love me,
and don't let me see you cry.
We will no longer have to hide our love,
if we can only bid it goodbye.

BRAVO for you Jazz.........so well said, and the timing was just right. I felt so many emotions, the dread, the challenge, and yet no reponse. How sad.....but I've been there...and it can bleed your heart to death. I'd rather have a decision precise.....than to
go on for ever......with no advice.
This poem was especially truthful, and I really enjoyed reading it.
Thank you,
consue

I liked this poem,I saw it in my own way,the way I wanted to see it...I'm in love with a person who sadly, could never happen because of circumstances, and I wish he would just tell me he just doesn't love me,that way I could set my heart free...It's like I need to hear it...I know the events of this poem were not the same, but I think you pretty much base yourself on the same thing as me.Nicely written,
PumpkinPie

This is one of my favorite poems. I had just been reading the most depressing love part of a novel and this fit in so well. Great job.
