I went to visit a friend today
She looked real peacefull
where her body lay.
I couldn't shed a tear of regret.
there wasn't any reason to fret.
Her tattered body lay still and worn,
finished, it's work all done.
Although she's gone her spirit is fair.
It's only a body, she wasn't there.
Although she left broken
dreams behind,
in heaven she'll always shine.

It's ironic that I came upon this piece. Late Tuesday night, my mother got a phone call that her best friend had been shot. We found out Wednesday, she was dead. She committed suicide in her car. The autopsy found a brain tumor. They cremated her, but still I wonder, what was going through her mind.... I guess we will never know...
Thank you for this piece...
