Along a coastal forest of Brazil
Violin trees are being cut down for money,
until they are nearly nil.
They are so special, for no other
material will suffice....
To make a lovely harmonic violin,
or it's bow so concise!
A woman's body can be compared
to the expensive Stradivarius.
The slightest touch, or caress,
sets off a musical wondrous.
Like the fragile violin, she must
be tuned each day.
Praise, tenderness, kindness,
love's gentle bouquet.
Her heart and soul revolve around
her loving husband.
In him she places her trust,
and by him she is strengthened.
She is his emotional compliment.
Her happiness depends entirely
on his treatment.
Men have no need to converse,
but a woman needs to be heard.
Like the violin, words are her music succored
The bow on the violin can be sweet or sour.
Likewise, a woman's heart and soul,
when praised devour.
If a loving husband can love
her as his own body.
Her happy heart will rejoice comely.
A hug for reassurance, like a violin
caressed by the bow.
Her soul is filled with love's tempo
a passionate crescendo.
If a Stradivarius so valuable and delicate
is played while out of tune.
It's lovely melodic music is ruined,
and soon immune.
A woman, a sensitive violin
played tenderly fine....
Will reward a bow with
an abundance of symphonies divine.

"A woman is not loved because
she is beautiful, nor is the violin
loved because of it's beauty.
A violin is beautiful because
of it's beautiful music,
and a woman is beautiful
because she is loved."

"Men have no need to converse,

I don't agree with that, so even though I'm a woman, I'll stand up for the male species here.... men need to be heard and loved just as much as a woman does.
beautiful write though... couldn't pass it up given my name... hehe

Ah, such an amazing piece of work. You have put into wors, the things that woman yearn for, that men seem to have lost in this day in age. I am a woman, and I must say that we are beautiful creatures, no matter what we look like on the outside. I wish everyone thought this way...
Again, amazing work! Please, keep it up!

To the Ctitters Lady::A marvelous rendition of sense and compassion
-----------------------------------------
Everything you say is right and true
Say to no one..between me and you,
I'm musically deal and cannot hear,
The scratching on a fiddle, dear.
A cello may be otherwise
This is so..a few of us guys
Would rather have a bigger hold,
Just my thoughts..may I be bold...

I have to say that as a woman I very much appreciate the sentiment of this poem. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I'm not totally convinced that a woman's happiness depends entirely on her husband's treatment of her, but there is no question that it matters a great deal! :) As for the musical aspects of your composition, I must say it is a nice comparison: the violin to a woman's body. But having played a strad myself, I must point out that it is more than love which makes the music so beautiful, it is also skill....
Nice work. :)
