beckoning

Contributed by ladyfawn on Saturday, 7th February 2004 @ 01:15:42 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

one heart that spent an eternity in time
taking in heavy sighs upon the winds,
whilst breezes blew around its chambers
softly, harshly, passionatly until it ends,

no finer heart when it was freshly
young, so happy once upon a time,

long begone, blissed into beckoning,
storms of life where,
tattered into shards of glass its broken
pieces forgotton where they lay with nary a care,

burning ashes fell upon it, made it bleed
so severely, it forgot how to smile,
the hands of time in solitude for mending
where it has been thus, for a very long while,
why it continues to pulsate and beat so many
life pondering days above the cliffs,
it wonders if the essence of it will linger
when it ceases beating, as it sits,

in plain view; right out of sight; it
knows there are more vibrant hearts,
that beat wildly of life and love, not
wasting away, no one of which to be a part,

of laughter, warmth, and long due fairytales
for one lone heart beating life away,
upon this mystic ship of dreams, to sail
ever sinking deeper, evanescening with a sigh,

one lone teardrop blissed out
and beckoning
a cry.

What does one say to this? a world shattered deprived from bliss. In the darkest time of woe. The broken heart begins to sew.

Tis all i can say. Good wright!

The story is excellent !
I had a little trouble with consistency and meter. There are a few breaks in the flow and a couple of forced lines that cause us to stop and re-read...
Great poem.

When I read your poetry Nessa its like watching a canvas being painted. Slowly it comes together so eloquently, flowing with such grace. The ending is the realization of what the poem consisted of. You write so lovely. Kie
