Grief

Trying to keep ploughing through
It doesn’t seem right, it can’t be true
One day I was talking to her
The next, life became a blur.
She’d gone…
Why did she have to leave us all?
Emotions, the take another fall
It still all seems so surreal,
How are we all meant to feel?
The light has faded away,
Please God, bring her back today.
“At least she’s out of pain.”
I remind myself again and again.
I cry. All I want is to see her face.
I feel I have to keep running that race.

Really good poem, I can feel your pain through your words.
I really to recomend myself, but I wrote a poem to a friend whose mom died. You might find comfort in it. (To A Great Friend)
