I know it’s late
But what can I say?
I am just a man.

No track of time
No track of day-
It just slips through
My fingers each day.

I am sorry again-
I hope it’s not too late,
Just wanted to tell you
How much of a friend you’ve been.

We may be in different
Time zones and even countries
But you’ve been there
When I need to talk.

You listen to me,
You gave me good advice.

And all I wanted to say
Was
Thank you
Very much.

Good write. It is always good to thank your friends. Sometimes they are the only family you have.
